Toll: Winter Information Gerlos High Alpine Road

If you arrive via the Zillertal / Gerlos you do not have to pass the toll station - only if you arrive via Krimml.

When arriving during the winter season, you can pass the toll station free of charge with the rental company's booking confirmation.

All guests from Wald/Königsleiten, Krimml, Neukirchen and Bramberg receive a free 8-day ticket for the toll road with their guest card at the toll station.

 Day visitors pay the car toll and receive a refund with the receipt when purchasing their lift ticket. With a Zillertal Arena ski pass, the automatic lane at the toll checkpoint can be used free of charge.

Please note: With the end of the Zillertal Arena winter season, the Gerlos High Alpine Road will again be subject to tolls, and all vehicles will have to pay.

Arrival by Car:

Take the motorway from Munich towards Innsbruck and exit at Achensee/Zillertal. Continue into the Zillertal valley. Around Zell am Ziller, follow the signs for Gerlospass. Drive through the village of Gerlos. About 200 meters before the toll station, turn left towards Königsleiten.


In the village of Königsleiten, continue straight past the information office. Then take the first road on the left, followed immediately by a right turn. After approximately 300 meters, the Lang family’s holiday houses are on the left-hand side.

The reception is located between the two holiday houses named “Michael” and “Christine”.

Arrival by Train:

Take the train to Jenbach station, then change to the "Zillertalbahn" narrow-gauge railway to Zell am Ziller.
